Fish Goujons/Goujones De Pescado

This is a simple way to enjoy fish and anyone can do it.. This is better than anything you will buy at a supermarket!

INGREDIENTS

Around 1 kg of White Fish, such as Cod,Haddock, Coley Fillets etc, cut into strips

The Batter:
200 grams of Plain Flour/Harina Pan-Precooked Cornmeal
1 Egg
2 Teaspoons of-
Pimenton Picante(Smoked Spanish Hot Paprika)
Pimenton Dulce(Smoked Spanish Sweet Paprika)
Black Pepper
Salt
Garlic Powder
Cumin
Cracked Szechuan Peppercorns
Cooking Oil for frying

METHOD

Combine all the dry ingredients together first, and the add the egg and some water. Whisk together until you have a smooth batter. Reserve for a few minutes.

Slice the fish in 2 inch slices, and the put them into the batter. Mix the fish thoroughly in the batter. Heat some oil in a pot or a deep fat fryer, and fry in batches. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until crispy and golden. Repeat frying in batches until all goujons are cooked. Enjoy!
